Sales Target Management
This feature requires the Sales Target addon to be enabled.
Sales Target Management allows you to set revenue targets for employees, track their progress, and analyze performance through reports. Targets can be configured for various time periods and include incentive structures to motivate your sales team.
Dashboard
Navigate to Sales Target Management > Dashboard to view sales target overview statistics.
The dashboard provides a high-level summary of your sales targets:
- Statistics Cards: Total targets, achieved targets, pending targets, expired targets, total target amount, total achieved amount, and overall achievement percentage
- Top Performers: The top 5 employees by target achievement
- Trend Data: A 12-month trend chart showing target vs. achieved amounts over time
- Status Distribution: Chart showing targets by status (pending, completed, expired)
- Type Distribution: Chart showing targets by period type (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
All Sales Targets
Navigate to Sales Target Management > All Sales Targets to manage individual targets.
Viewing Targets
The target list displays all sales targets in a data table. You can filter by:
- Period: Time period type
- Status: Pending, Completed, or Expired
- Target Type: Period type (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
- Employee: Specific employee
- Date Range: Filter by start or end dates
Creating a Target
- Click the create action
- Fill in the target details:
- Employee: The employee this target is assigned to
- Target Type: The period for the target
| Target Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Daily | Target for a single day |
| Weekly | Target for a week |
| Monthly | Target for a calendar month |
| Quarterly | Target for a quarter (3 months) |
| Half Yearly | Target for 6 months |
| Yearly | Target for a full year |
- Period: The specific period (e.g., "January 2026" for a monthly target)
- Start Date and End Date: The date range for the target
- Expiry Date: When the target expires if not completed
- Target Amount: The revenue goal
- Incentive Type: How the incentive is calculated
- Incentive Amount or Percentage: The reward for achieving the target
- Description: Details about the target
- Notes: Additional notes
- Save the target
Bulk Assign Targets
To assign the same target to multiple employees at once:
- Use the bulk assign action
- Select the employees
- Fill in the shared target details (type, period, dates, amount, incentive)
- Save to create individual target records for each selected employee
Editing and Deleting Targets
- Click Edit on any target row to update its details
- Click Delete to remove a target, or use bulk delete to remove multiple targets at once
Target Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Pending | Target is active and in progress |
| Completed | Target amount has been achieved |
| Expired | Target end date has passed without completion |
The system tracks achieved amount and remaining amount automatically. When orders are completed (via the Product Order addon), the system recalculates sales target progress.
Statistics
The targets page provides filtered statistics showing total targets, achieved count, pending count, expired count, total target amount, and total achieved amount based on the current filters.
Reports
Navigate to Sales Target Management > Reports to access sales target analytics.
Achievement Report
Navigate to Reports > Achievement Report.
Provides an overview of target achievements with statistics including total targets, total achieved, achievement rate, and total revenue. Includes a trend chart, status breakdown, top achievers, and target type distribution.
Department Performance
Navigate to Reports > Department Performance.
Compares sales performance across departments, showing each department's total target amount, achieved amount, and achievement percentage. Includes chart data for visual comparison.
Employee Performance
Navigate to Reports > Employee Performance.
Evaluates individual employee sales performance with per-employee totals for targets assigned, amounts, and achievement rates. Includes an achievement distribution breakdown across ranges: 0-25%, 26-50%, 51-75%, 76-99%, and 100%+.
Period Comparison
Navigate to Reports > Period Comparison.
Compares performance across different time periods (month-to-month, quarter-to-quarter, or year-to-year). Shows target amounts, achieved amounts, growth rates, and trend direction for each period to identify performance patterns.
Settings
Navigate to Sales Target Management > Settings to configure the Sales Target addon.
Settings are managed through the module settings interface, allowing you to customize the addon's behavior to match your organization's sales processes.
